John Lunger

John Lunger currently serves as the Chief Patient Supply Officer, bringing a robust background in engineering and business management to his role. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Ocean Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and later obtained an MBA in economics and operations management from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. Lunger’s career began in the U.S. Navy, where he served as a nuclear-trained officer on a submarine. Transitioning to the corporate sector, he worked in strategic consulting with Accenture before moving into the pharmaceutical industry. He has held various senior roles at VWR International, Pfizer, and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, focusing on manufacturing, operational, and strategy. Lunger also served as Senior Vice President of Manufacturing and Supply Chain at Adaptimmune and was the Head of Supply Chain and Commercial Product Supply at Merrimack Pharmaceuticals. Additionally, he has contributed to the industry as a non-executive director of Genocea Biosciences, Inc.
