Kian Katanforoosh

Kian Katanforoosh is the CEO and founder of Workera, a company focused on measuring people’s skills accurately using modern technologies. His motivation for founding Workera stemmed from witnessing his parents’ educational struggles during a revolution in Iran, which sparked his interest in the accurate assessment of skills through technology. He dedicated a year to studying psychometrics and integrating it with his work in artificial intelligence. Apart from his entrepreneurial ventures, Katanforoosh is an esteemed lecturer at Stanford University’s Computer Science department, where he teaches Deep Learning alongside Adjunct Professor Andrew Ng. His teaching prowess has been recognized by Stanford with two prestigious awards: the Walter J. Gores Award, the highest teaching accolade at the university, and the Centennial Award for Excellence in Teaching.
