- Moved to Burton, Texas in 2010 to work at Camp for All, a barrier-free camp designed for children and adults with multiple challenges
- Graduated from Owens Community College and The University of Toledo with a Bachelor's degree in education
- Spent 12 years in the education field holding various roles including a braillist, a behavior therapist, a classroom teacher, and a program director
- Did community outreach and programming for at-risk youth and their families
- Lives in Toledo with her husband, two daughters, and their two dogs
- Enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and volunteering in the Fine Arts theatre program that her daughters are involved in at St. Pius X Elementary
