Barrett Williams

Barrett Williams, currently serving as the Product Marketing Lead and General Manager at SigOpt, has played a pivotal role in the company’s evolution, especially following its acquisition by Intel in November 2020. Prior to his current roles, he co-founded SigOpt and was its CEO, overseeing its growth and strategic direction. Before his tenure at SigOpt, Williams worked at Yelp within the Ad Targeting team, where he led significant academic research and outreach initiatives, including the Yelp Dataset Challenge and the development of the open-source Metric Optimization Engine. He holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics and an MS in Computer Science from Cornell University, in addition to BS degrees in Mathematics, Physics, and Computational Physics from Oregon State University. His contributions to the field have been recognized nationally, evidenced by his inclusion in Forbes’ 30 under 30 list in 2016.
