Alexander Linn

Alexander Linn, holding the title of Founder and CEO, became deeply concerned about the potential societal disruptions caused by artificial intelligence in 2011. Motivated by a desire to harness AI for beneficial purposes, he combined this vision with his background in smart building technologies. Linn’s pivotal realization about the critical role of home in psychological health emerged during a mission trip to Kenya. This insight, along with stories he gathered from homeowners, led him to establish Shipshape. The company, which operates out of Austin, TX, and Birmingham, AL, aims to leverage AI to enhance the well-being of homeowners by making their living spaces smarter and more responsive.
