Harsh Goenka

Harsh Goenka, Chairman of RPG Enterprises, is a distinguished fifth-generation entrepreneur from one of India’s most respected business families. He began his career in business management at a remarkably young age, taking on the role of Managing Director at CEAT at just 24 in 1983. By 1990, he succeeded his father, Dr. R.P. Goenka, as Chairman of the RPG Group. Under his leadership, the group has flourished, with Goenka also serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors for several major companies within the group, including KEC International, CEAT, RPG Life Sciences, and Raychem RPG. Additionally, he holds a position as a Director of Bajaj Electricals. Goenka’s educational background includes a BA in Economics from the University of Calcutta and an MBA from IMD, Lausanne. He has served as President of the Indian Merchants Chamber and is a member of IMD, Lausanne. Beyond his business endeavors, Goenka has a profound passion for sports and the arts, particularly contemporary art, where he is recognized for his patronage of young artists. His leadership style is characterized by a strong emphasis on people, organizational potential, and a continuous push for innovation and creativity in the workplace.
