Gabriel Jones

Gabriel Jones co-founded Proprio in 2016 alongside Seattle Children’s Hospital neurosurgeon Dr. Samuel Browd, University of Washington Professor Joshua Smith, and computer vision specialist James Youngquist. With over a decade of leadership experience in emerging technology and intellectual property law, Jones has developed a specific expertise in AI and healthcare sectors. His career began in international trade in Japan and Washington, DC, followed by significant roles in large-scale mergers and acquisitions on Wall Street. Jones has also worked closely with high-profile clients such as Bill Gates and Microsoft’s leadership, assisting them in evaluating and developing emerging technologies through his work with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation on global health and technology initiatives. Additionally, he has guided several successful startups in their commercialization journeys across various sectors including biotech, med tech, AI, and prop tech. Jones has also held positions on multiple boards, such as the Washington Biotech and Biomedical Association and the Group Health Foundation during its acquisition by Kaiser.
