Karen Haslbeck

Karen Haslbeck serves as the Head of Human Resources, bringing over two decades of experience in the field, with a significant focus on the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. Her expertise covers a broad range of HR functions, including significant roles in building commercial, corporate, and scientific teams across various organizational levels. Karen has been instrumental in Organizational Development, particularly in initiatives aimed at cultivating and maintaining workplace culture and employee retention. She holds a Senior Certified Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification, and is an active member of both the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Chesapeake Human Resources Association (CHRA). Karen’s educational background includes a certificate in Employee Relations from Cornell University and a Degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). Her experience spans startup companies, pre and post-IPO phases, mergers and acquisitions, and well-established global organizations.
