Joseph Lubin

Joseph Lubin was born and raised in Toronto and graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. During his time at Princeton, he worked in the Robotics Lab and developed an autonomous music composition tool at tomandandy music. His career includes building autonomous mobile robots at Vision Applications Inc., and working as a software and AI consultant with eMagine on the Identrus project. Lubin also co-founded a hedge fund and held significant positions such as Director of the New York office of Blacksmith Software Consulting, and VP of Technology in Private Wealth Management at Goldman Sachs. In 2014, he met Vitalik Buterin and became a co-founder of the Ethereum Project. Following the launch of Ethereum, Lubin established ConsenSys, a blockchain technology company focusing on the intersection of cryptography, engineering, and finance.
