Alexander Gutierrez

Alexander Gutierrez has established himself as a prominent figure in the technology and robotics fields, with a career spanning more than two decades. He played a pivotal role as a founding member and deputy team leader for Carnegie Mellon’s Red Team, which achieved notable placements in the 2005 DARPA Grand Challenge for Autonomous Vehicles. Gutierrez also co-founded Astrobotic Technology, which is recognized for securing a contract to deploy a lander and a robot to the Moon’s south pole in 2023. Prior to founding L5 Automation, he led major initiatives at Lockheed Martin to transition emerging technologies from research to practical applications in robotics, augmented reality, and process optimization. His work has consistently focused on the innovative application of technology in critical, real-world scenarios.
