Darryl Hobbs

Darryl Hobbs is a distinguished legal professional currently serving as a Chief Legal Officer. He brings over 25 years of experience advising top technology companies on a range of issues including commercial and strategic transactions, corporate governance, intellectual property, privacy, mergers and acquisitions, compliance, and risk management. Hobbs has an extensive background in the technology sector, having held numerous senior leadership roles at Microsoft for 19 years, including as Assistant General Counsel in the Corporate, External & Legal Affairs organization. Prior to Microsoft, he led a business development team at AOL-Time Warner and served as in-house counsel for IBM. Hobbs also practiced commercial law at a large international law firm. Beyond his professional endeavors, Hobbs is dedicated to promoting diversity within the legal profession and nurturing future leaders. He actively serves on the board of Thinking Huts, a non-profit organization focused on enhancing global access to education through the construction of 3D-printed schools. Hobbs holds a B.A. in finance from James Madison University and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
