Imprimerie l'Empreinte Company Information
Imprimerie l’Empreinte, established in 1986, stands as one of the largest private printers in Quebec. The company provides a diverse array of high-quality printed products and services, including publication, marketing, direct mail, packaging, and related services. Imprimerie l’Empreinte continually invests in advanced technology and regularly updates its equipment to maintain high standards of production. The company is deeply committed to environmental protection, using recycled paper, acrylic varnish, and vegetable-based inks to minimize toxic materials. It heats its 65,000 sq ft facility with heat recovered from its presses and recycles 1,300 tons of paper annually, saving over 22,000 trees each year. Additionally, it has systems in place to recycle solvents, varnishes, and water used in the printing processes. In its pursuit of innovation, Imprimerie l’Empreinte acquired Alternative, a company specializing in the design, printing, and manufacturing of packaging products, and is developing an HACCP plan. The company employs FreeFlow Core and Duplo technologies to automate tasks from digital printing to cutting and holds certifications such as GRACOL and FSC. It has implemented an ERP system and a Continuous Improvement Group (GAC) to enhance operational efficiency. In 2014, the company moved to a 52,000 sq ft ultramodern facility in Laval, which includes a dedicated 15,000 sq ft shipping department. Imprimerie l’Empreinte also acquired a Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 106 8-color UV press and offers a Web-to-print solution called PrintSys for managing recurring volumes and formats. As an official partner with Canada Post for postal distribution, the company ensures reliable and efficient delivery of printed materials.
