Steven Lai

Steven Lai holds the position of Staff Software Engineer, with a focus on Cloud Infrastructure and Site Reliability Engineering. He has played a crucial role in designing and implementing cloud infrastructures utilizing tools such as Terraform, AWS, Kubernetes, and Python, particularly during his tenure at Gusto. His expertise extends to disaster recovery automation, migrating platforms to Kubernetes, and developing tools for the self-service provisioning of cloud resources. Additionally, at Postmates, Steven spearheaded the development of payment processing services and was instrumental in the transition of financial logic to scalable microservices architecture. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Stony Brook University.
