Gulf Coast JFCS

Gulf Coast JFCS, serving Floridians since 1960 and incorporated on July 2, 1974, provides comprehensive human services to nearly 30,000 people across Greater Tampa Bay and beyond. With over 600 employees, the organization offers a wide array of programs including behavioral and mental health, child welfare and adoption, family support, job and employment transition, housing, food, transportation, and home care assistance for the elderly. Gulf Coast JFCS supports refugees with essential needs through its Refugee Assistance Fund and provides affordable rental housing for individuals with disabilities and seniors. The organization also addresses the needs of Jewish individuals, families, and Holocaust survivors, including through its Holocaust Survivor Fund. Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation (CARF) since 1998, Gulf Coast JFCS is committed to equipping individuals with behavioral or mental health challenges to live their best lives and strengthening families through educational and child welfare services. The organization prepares individuals for employment, coordinates elder care, and offers various volunteer and internship opportunities. Programs like the Adoption Bear Hugs, Community Assistance and Life Liaison (CALL), Fathers Acquiring Mentorship & Enrichment (FAME), Good Afternoon Friends and Amigos (GAFA), Healthy Youth Transitions, Heart Gallery of Pinellas and Pasco, Kinship Support, Teen Parent Engagement, Violence Prevention, and Young Adult Transitional Program further illustrate its dedication to community support and development.
