Fishing Partnership Support Services (FPSS) was founded in 1997 to support the unique needs of New England fishing families. With a mission to provide comprehensive health, safety, and economic security services, FPSS has grown to serve over 20,000 fishing families across the region. The organization operates out of four offices located in Gloucester, New Bedford, Plymouth, and Chatham, Massachusetts. By leveraging over two decades of experience, FPSS has become a cornerstone of support for the fishing communities along the eastern seaboard, from Maine to the Carolinas.

Fishing Partnership Support Services' Health and Wellness Programs

FPSS is dedicated to improving the health and wellness of fishermen and their families through a range of services. The organization provides health insurance enrollment assistance specifically for Massachusetts residents, ensuring they have access to essential healthcare. Preventative healthcare programs, including vaccines and screenings, are offered harborside to make it convenient for fishermen to access care. Additionally, FPSS partners with Riverside Trauma Center to provide mental health support and offers Narcan Training to address the opioid use disorder prevalent in the community. Wellness events for female fishermen are also hosted to foster connections and promote camaraderie.
