Emulate provides a variety of Organ-Chip models, including Brain-Chip, Colon Intestine-Chip, Duodenum Intestine-Chip, Kidney-Chip, Liver-Chip, and Lung-Chip. These models are part of their Human Emulation System, which combines instruments, consumables, and software to facilitate the study of human biology. The company supplies Organ-Chip kits that include chips, reagents, and qualified human cells. The Colon Intestine-Chip uses pre-qualified biopsy-derived primary human organoids and colonic endothelial cells with mechanical forces to replicate in vivo physiology. The Liver-Chip integrates four human cell types in a dynamic microenvironment to support gene expression, functionality, and physiology similar to in vivo conditions. The Kidney-Chip features primary human proximal tubule epithelial cells and renal microvascular endothelial cells to enable cell-cell interactions. Lung-Chip models include epithelial and lung-specific endothelial cells on either side of a porous, ECM-coated membrane. The Brain-Chip contains five human cell types: neurons, astrocytes, pericytes, microglia, and brain microvascular endothelial-like cells. Emulate also offers standard and custom services for Organ-Chip experiments. Their Human Emulation System includes the Zoë Culture Module, which automates the precise conditions needed to culture up to 12 chips. The company provides a CAR T workflow for modeling the journey of CAR T-cell therapy in a vascularized cancer cell line model. The Colon Intestine-Chip can be used to study the efficacy and mechanism of drug candidates targeting PBMC recruitment from vasculature to gut luminal tissue. Emulate has a validated preclinical human liver model that replicates in vivo physiological functions of the human liver. They also offer a range of Organ-Chip consumables for diverse human biology modeling. Emulate provides extensive support for new users, including virtual installation guidance, comprehensive scientific training, and validated protocols for Organ-Chip culture and experimental analysis.
