James Ding

James Ding is the CEO and co-founder of DraftWise, an innovative AI drafting platform designed to unify data silos and help law firms leverage their collective expertise and past deals for better client outcomes. He has led teams at Palantir, focusing on developing big data AI solutions, and has invented multiple patents in data security, machine learning, and cloud computing. Ding has met with leadership from Mishcon de Reya’s LegalTech incubator, MDR Lab, to field test DraftWise’s latest generative AI features. He emphasizes that DraftWise’s core mission is to create products that lawyers want and will use, rather than just selling tech capabilities. He announced the DraftWise Deal Context API, which aims to provide lawyers with comprehensive transactional data for contracts and negotiations. Ding believes that the historical expertise of a law firm is a key differentiator and stresses the importance of connecting this information for attorneys. Outside of his professional life, Ding enjoys baking bread and playing tennis.
