José de la Luz López, co-founder and CEO of delt.ai, left his previous job to tackle inefficiencies in the financial sector, specifically targeting businesses in Mexico. Alongside Alejandro Cedeño, he established delt.ai with a vision to merge decentralized finance (DeFi) with traditional finance (TradFi) to create new financial opportunities. Under his leadership, the company aimed to process the equivalent of $25 million from debt financing through digital assets. López successfully grew the company’s credit portfolio by over 50% in just one month, utilizing capital from TrueFi. In 2020, he launched one of the first corporate credit cards in Mexico and participated in Y Combinator’s accelerator program in San Francisco, marking significant milestones in his entrepreneurial journey.
