Chuck Ellis

Chuck Ellis, holding the title of Chief Data Scientist, is a veteran in the foodservice industry data analytics. Based in Boston, MA, Ellis has a profound background in collecting, classifying, and analyzing extensive data sets, including billions of POS transactions and operator product purchases. After graduating from Cornell University, he entered the restaurant industry and spent a decade in various roles before transitioning to data analytics at Gazelle Systems in 2000. Ellis is the founder and CEO of Restaurant Sciences, Inc., where he established the nation’s largest warehouse of POS data. He also founded Foodservice Analytics, Inc., where he developed advanced taxonomy and attribution models for foodservice products. His work includes providing coding and consulting services to major industry players such as Nielsen, AB Inbev, and Sysco.
