Jim Coburn

Jim Coburn serves as the Senior Manager at Ceres Accelerator, focusing on Disclosure and Regulation. He holds a bachelor’s degree in government from Cornell University and a J.D. from Boston College Law School. Coburn’s professional background includes positions at Morgan Stanley, the American Civil Liberties Union, and Green America. In his current role, he is instrumental in advancing Ceres’ efforts to improve mandatory climate and sustainability risk disclosure by corporations. He advocates for the development of disclosure rules and voluntary frameworks that enhance corporate risk management practices and aid in investment decision-making. Coburn also manages the production of Ceres tools and reports on climate risk disclosure, notably ‘Cool Response: The SEC & Corporate Climate Change Reporting.’ His work involves collaboration with investors, companies, and stakeholders to influence global sustainability disclosure frameworks and rules.
