Sania Javed completed her undergraduate degree in Economics at the University of Delhi, Jesus and Mary College. She has contributed significantly to the field of public finance through her role as a Fellow with the Civic Data Lab’s Public Finance team. During her tenure, she was involved in projects that developed Green Public Procurement recommendations for Assam and analyzed Child Budgeting Practices in Odisha. Sania also gained valuable practical experience in sustainable financing during her internship with Programme Management Consultancy – Finovista. Additionally, she has worked on multiple research projects, both individually and collaboratively with faculty at the University of Delhi. Sania’s academic and professional interests extend to contemporary issues such as identity, development, financial inclusion, inequality, and gender. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys watching films, singing, and playing the guitar.
