Known information
Jordan Baker grew up on a farm outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and pursued higher education at Johns Hopkins University, where he obtained both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering. During his time at Johns Hopkins, his research concentrated on leveraging algae for the production of biofuels and high-value chemicals. After his studies, he worked for three years at Genentech in South San Francisco, furthering his experience in the biotechnology field. Currently, Jordan is enrolled in a PhD program in Bioengineering at UC Berkeley & UCSF, where his research is dedicated to exploring microbial metabolism to address environmental and sustainability challenges.
