Joe Vittiglio

Joe Vittiglio is a distinguished legal and business executive in the biopharmaceutical sector, currently holding the position of Chief Business and Legal Officer. He has a rich background in the industry, having previously served as Chief Business and Legal Officer at Finch Therapeutics, where he played a pivotal role in the company’s initial public offering in 2021, raising $130.8 million. Vittiglio also led the legal, business development, and quality teams at Finch Therapeutics. Prior to this, he was the General Counsel and Chief Business Officer at AMAG Pharmaceuticals, overseeing its successful sale to private equity investors. His career also includes leadership roles at Flexion Therapeutics, AVEO Pharmaceuticals, and Oscient Pharmaceuticals Corporation, and he started his professional journey as a corporate associate at Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo PC.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Vittiglio is passionate about cooking, finding it a relaxing and enjoyable activity, often involving his family in the process. He specializes in Italian and Persian cuisines. Additionally, Vittiglio is actively involved in the community, serving on the American Cancer Society’s Eastern New England Board of Directors and the Board of Advisors for Life Science Cares. He holds a BA in international relations from Tufts University and a JD from Northeastern University School of Law.
