BioSense is a pioneering company that developed the first working non-contact ECG solution. Their innovative sensors are thin, small in diameter, and flexible, capable of detecting ECG signals through multiple layers of fabric and clothing without requiring skin contact. These finely tuned sensors do not interfere with other electrical devices in a medical setting, ensuring seamless integration with hospital monitors. BioSense’s technology is used for patient monitoring applications in the NICU, Delivery, Burn Units, and Adult Monitoring, and it also facilitates remote patient monitoring. The device includes a signal processing unit that can be embedded into a mattress, allowing for fast ECG acquisition in about 10 seconds. The technology presents medical-grade ECG signals to hospital monitors and enables the daily monitoring of over 480 biomarkers in the EKG signal, which can diagnose hundreds of medical conditions. BioSense has conducted correlation analysis on ECG simulators and humans, showing a 95-99% correlation to FDA-cleared devices for multiple ECG biomarkers. The company is preparing to start clinical trials in hospitals.
