Banyan Security, which is now part of SonicWall, provides an extensive platform designed to secure access to websites, SaaS applications, private applications, and infrastructure. The platform includes multiple components such as VPN as a Service (VPNaaS), Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Secure Web Gateway (SWG), and Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB). A key feature of Banyan Security’s platform is the Cloud Command Center, which offers centralized management and visibility. The Banyan app, a cross-platform endpoint client, facilitates device registration and authentication. The platform’s Flexible Edge architecture allows for easy deployment both on-premises and in the cloud. Banyan Security’s SWG protects against web-based threats like malware, phishing, and malicious websites, and supports integrations with existing cloud, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Mobile Device Management (MDM), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), and User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) tools. Banyan Security also offers a free Team Edition for up to 50 users and provides a device-centric Security Service Edge (SSE) solution. The platform includes features such as URL filtering, malware detection, phishing prevention, and application control, and supports real-time categorization of web traffic with unlimited block/allow lists. High-performance connectivity is ensured through a WireGuard foundation with zero trust enhancements. Additional features include Discover and Publish for securing hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructure, support for RESTful APIs and Terraform for automation, and a centralized management interface for configuring and monitoring security policies. Continuous re-authorization of device trust enforces access policy requirements, and passwordless access is enabled using device certificates. The platform offers a flexible pricing model with no hidden fees or limits on connectors, devices, applications, or throughput, and supports secure remote access for third parties and BYOD.
