Kyle Elrod

Kyle Elrod serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Asher Bio, bringing a wealth of experience from over three decades in the pharmaceutical, diagnostic, and life science industries. His career includes significant roles such as the Senior Vice President of Planning and Operations at Forty Seven Inc., where he managed company operations, project management, human resources, and alliance management. Prior to that, Elrod was the Senior Vice President of Project Management and Operations at Virobay, where he played a key role in advancing three protease inhibitors into clinical trials and was responsible for alliance management and company operations. His earlier tenure at Life Technologies involved leadership in R&D and program direction, specifically in developing high throughput genetic sequencers. Elrod also held progressively responsible positions at Celera Pharmaceuticals, ultimately serving as the Director of Research and Development Projects. He has published over 22 scientific articles and holds four issued patents. Elrod’s academic background includes a B.A. in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of California, Berkeley. He joined Asher Bio, attracted by the innovative team working on cis-targeting technology.
