Enkhtuya Radnaa, Ph.D.

Dr. Enkhtuya Radnaa, MS., Ph.D., is a distinguished Molecular and Cellular Biology Scientist with over ten years of experience in the field. Her academic and research career began at the Cancer Research Institute, Kanazawa University, Japan, where she earned her Ph.D. and conducted postdoctoral research focused on cancer. Later, she transitioned to the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB), where she expanded her research to obstetrics and gynecology. As a faculty member, Dr. Radnaa led innovative projects, including the development of immortalized cell lines from human placental tissues and intricate gene manipulations within these lines. These cell lines have become crucial for organ-on-chip-based research initiatives. Her work has been supported by multiple NIH-funded grants from NCATs and the Superfund research programs. Dr. Radnaa’s research into the molecular mechanisms of preterm birth has earned her recognition and the ‘Best New Investigator’ award in 2022 from the Society for Reproductive Investigation. Her dedication to scientific exploration is also reflected in her contributions to several prestigious journals, including Science Advances, Lab on a Chip, Clinical Science, and Biology of Reproduction.
