Elton Johnson, Jr. began his military career by enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, where he served for two years before transferring to the U.S. Army Special Forces, also known as the Green Berets. He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in 1985. His career included being called up to active duty following the 9/11 attacks, during which he was deployed twice to Iraq and once to Afghanistan. After a distinguished 37-year military career, Johnson retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2013. Beyond his military service, he ventured into business and formed a partnership with South Street Securities in 2017.
