Following his PhD, he returned to Cambodia to serve as a Technical Manager for a ready-mixed concrete supplier. His career then took him to NYU Abu Dhabi, where he worked as a Research Scientist and Laboratory Manager at the Advanced Materials & Building Efficiency Laboratory (AMBER Lab). Throughout his career, Hay has been dedicated to advancing the field of civil engineering through research, innovation, and practical application.
