Darlene Allen

Darlene Allen serves as the CEO and Executive Director, bringing over three decades of experience in both public and private sectors focused on service development for children, youth, and families. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Providence College and a Master of Science from the University of Massachusetts. Further enhancing her leadership skills, she completed a Certificate in Non-Profit Leadership at Harvard University’s Kennedy School and is an alumni of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses entrepreneurial program. Darlene is a prominent advocate for child and youth welfare on both local and national levels. She holds significant positions in various organizations, serving as the Vice Chair of the National Adoption Exchange Association, a Board member of Voice For Adoption, and Chair of the Rhode Island Coalition for Children and Families. Additionally, she is involved with the National Family Builders Association and the Rhode Island Child Fatality Review team. Recognized for her dedication and impact, Darlene has received the Congressional Angel in Adoption award and an accolade from the Attorney General’s office for her commitment to child abuse victims. She is also committed to mentoring emerging leaders in Rhode Island, further contributing to the community’s future.
